Dedicated to sharing writing practices that will inspire you both on and off the page.
Writing is what I do, writing is what I enjoy and I love writing about writing and sharing it with others. Over the years I have found that the practice of writing teaches me about myself, about others and about life. That’s why I’ve created the wRiters wRite service. Read on to find out more.
wRiters wRite offers you:
- Inspiration and writing practices to entice your writing Muse onto the page.
- Help generating material for the topics, issues, themes and stories you want to write about
- Support to get you writing
- Help with the nuts and bolts of how to maintain a writing practice
- Creative respite for experienced writers of fiction and non fiction to refill and replenish their writing and creative well
Generating Material
Generating writing material is the first step all writers need to take. This first stage is the step most writers fail to invest in. Generation of writing material is based on the assumption that you are writing regularly and have a regular writing practice – after all, writers write! Regular writing practice is the best way for you to:
- Develop and craft your unique writing voice
- Become confident about who you are as a writer and what you have to say
The More You Write …
I took a seven-year hiatus from the world of book publishing to deepen my craft and to really explore the creative process. I have arrived at the other end with a more confident and competent set of skills and tools for my writing journey. I have also accumulated an abundance of writing material, which I am now in the process of turning into writing/creativity products in a range of different forms. From my seven-year journey I have learnt that:
- The more you write the more natural and compelling the authentic quality and presence of your writing voice will seep through your words and the things you say
- The more you write the more accurate and attractive you will be in the way you write and express yourself on the page
- The more you write the more you will understand your personal motivations and what compels you to write
- The more you write the more you will understand and be able to embrace the different phases and cycles of the creative process
- The more you are willing to write badly the more you increase the possibilities of writing well
