Led by the Reverend Jackee Holder, Urban Ministries offers Services, Ceremonies, Celebrations and Blessings for those seeking a unique spiritual or cultural service. Ceremonies and Services on Offer

Each service, ceremony or special occasion is personally designed and co-created with you. Drawing from your own personal, spiritual, religious practices and traditions we will design a Service or Blessing that has your personal stamp on it. Choose from:

More about Urban Ministries and Interfaith

In these modern times I believe and often witness in my work as a Minister that many of the earlier religious and spiritual traditions are just as important to us today as they have been in the past. What is more evident is the desire of many to seek out ceremonies and services that deeply reflect their own eclectic mix of traditions and beliefs. Recent studies undertaken by the British Council for churches reveal that approximately 60% of people in the United Kingdom regard themselves as spiritual but do not regularly take part in traditional religion.

Raised in the Pentecostal Church in the sixties and seventies I fully understand separating the roots of my Christian upbringing with my ever-changing spiritual beliefs and practices that I have adopted over the years. Urban Ministries has been my way of joining and honouring a spiritual way of living and being that honours many different paths.

Interfaith Ministers undertake a two-year training with the Interfaith Seminary UK as Interfaith Ministers and Spiritual Counsellors. On completion of the training - I was ordained in 2002 - Ministers are both qualified and authorised to perform everyday services such as Weddings, Funerals, Baby Blessings, Coming Of Age Ceremonies and House Blessings for you - in the comfort of your home or in public spaces. Interfaith is not a move away from organised religion but a widening of spiritual and religious practices and beliefs with a mission of making spirituality more accessible to the wider community in a more personal and meaningful way.

Spiritual Guidance & Counselling

I currently offer a few one to one Spiritual Counselling sessions to individuals seeking spiritual guidance. After an initial consultation where I can determine whether I am the best person to work with you we will agree on a number of sessions and the focus of our work together.

I offer spiritual counselling in which we will create a sacred space where you can be both held and feel safe to explore the dilemmas and challenges that you may currently be faced with. We will integrate spiritual and creative practices and rituals that will support you in moving through your current challenge in a practical and pragmatic way. I hold the possibility of you opening the door to find your own way through your current dilemma in a space of spiritual reflection and healing.
